About The Program
"He'll be fine - someone will take him in," you
think as you pass by a scraggly kitten peeking out from behind
the bushes. The sad truth is that most of the feral (wild)
cats you see will not be fed, receive medical attention, be
spayed/neutered or have a warm place to sleep. In short,
they are on their own, fending for themselves as best they
can. You can change that by sponsoring the cat of your
choice through the Billerica Cat Care Coalition "Wild
About Cats" Sponsorship Program.
Spay or Neuter
An unaltered female and all of her offspring can produce
420,000 kittens in seven years!! The numbers are shocking
any way you look at them, but especially so when you realize
that there aren't enough homes to go around! You can help
end the cycle of generation after generation of homeless kittens
by sponsoring the spaying or neutering of a feral cat.
Food For Thought
Chicken liver, beef or mixed grill - feral cats aren't fussy
eaters! They are grateful for a can of food a day,
regardless of the flavor. One of the biggest problems
facing feral cats is lack of a steady, adequate supply.
Your monthly sponsorship ensures adequate food and makes the
difference between a healthy cat and one who is struggling to
survive!

Freckles - A
spunky, neutered, b&w short-haired male teen-ager cat full of fun and frolic! Freckles runs right up to his volunteer feeder, than runs right away. He is a true comic! Contact us to sponsor me!

Toby - A spirited cat whose long-haired orange and white color reflects a playful nature. Very savvy, Toby has not yet been trapped to be spayed or neutered so we don't know if this is a boy or a girl. Loves to tease the other cats and catch sunbeams!

Frenchie - This classy-looking part Ragdoll cat is definitely a female, evidenced by the stunning looking kittens she has produced )who have been adopted into homes). She is trap savvy, so we are working on luring her with fish in order to get her spayed. So far, she has resisted.

Sweetie - A gentle, sweet-natured, white spayed female with gray tabby markings, this little girl is prone to upper respiratory infections which we treat, as needed. She loves her cat colony family. Likes to sit close to the feeding bowl while it is being filled, though she is shy around people.

Angus - A young, spayed female this lovely, long-haired tortoiseshell girl politely waits until the other cats are nearly done before she eats her food. Angus loves to romp and get a good stretch on the trunk of a nearby tree.

Charlie - Named after his namesake, Charlie Chaplin, this adorable,
short-haired, neutered male, white with black markings was shy when we first started to feed the colony (family of cats) where he lives. Though still a bit reserved, he is coming closer, when his human volunteer arrives with the food.
