NeedyMeds is a national non-profit organization devoted to helping people who cannot afford their medications and other costs related to health care. Their website (www.needymeds.org) has information on patient assistance programs, disease-based assistance programs, free and low cost clinics and much more.

The BCCC has partnered with them, on their Drug Discount Card. This card may be used by anyone without insurance or instead of insurance to receive up to an 80% savings on the cost of prescription medications. There are no income, residency or age restrictions when using the card and it is accepted at over 60,000 pharmacies. It can be used on prescription medications, over-the-counter medications written as a prescription, and pet prescriptions that can be picked up at a pharmacy.
